Do I need a deposit?
No. Nothing is held on your card and nothing leaves your account when you book. You pay at the end, once everything is unloaded and where you want it.
Are there charges beyond the hourly rate?
No. Anywhere in the Dallas area the hourly rate is the whole bill. The truck, the fuel, the blankets, the equipment, the stairs however many flights, and the tax are all in it.
The one exception is a move outside the Dallas area, which carries a truck fee, and we tell you what it is before you book.
How is the final bill worked out?
Two hour minimum, then to the nearest fifteen minutes at your agreed rate.
The clock starts when your buddies reach your door and stops when the work is done. Driving between your pickup, your drop-off and any extra stops counts. Driving to you from our warehouse does not.
What happens if you break something?
We make it right instead of quoting the law at you. Break a television and we buy you a new one, up to a thousand dollars, whatever protection you are on.
On the day, tell your team leader or they will tell you. It gets written down there and then.
What if I need to cancel or move my date?
Call the office and we will take care of it. There is no cancellation fee and no charge to move your date, because there is no deposit sitting there to argue about.
Are tips expected?
Not at all, and nobody will be odd with you about it. If your buddies did well and you want to, most people land around ten to twenty percent of the bill, or twenty to forty dollars a buddy. Card or cash both work. One tip for the team is fine and we split it evenly.
Is there anything you will not move?
We do not move pool tables or hot tubs, and we do not go into attics.
Tell us first about pianos, gun safes and anything over four hundred pounds. We will give you a straight answer before you book.
We cannot carry gasoline, propane, fireworks, ammunition, perishable food, plants you care about, or anything illegal.
What protection is included?
Basic valuation comes with every move. It pays sixty cents per pound per item. That is a legal standard based on weight, not on what the thing is worth, so it is worth understanding rather than skipping past.
Full Value Protection costs extra. The office will tell you what it covers and what it costs before you decide.
